• definition of customer inquiries according to the objectives of the EU “white paper”
• surveys of the target groups by on site visitations, telephone and workshops
• statistical evaluation of the surveys and prioritising the customer needs
• identification of traffic junctions by coordinating expert meetings
• analysing the freight flow within the alpine space - contacts to port administrations, authorities and transport companies (especially to those of the New Member States)
